Cyclone Keni Appeal - Fiji

The Samaj provided aid on the back of cyclone Keni that affected Fiji in April. We made contact with an orphanage just outside of Nadi that had gone without power and supplies for four days to see how we could assist. This orphanage looks after 15 girls, 12 boys and 2 special needs children. The age range is 6 months to 15 years.

The items we supplied and personally delivered were rice, sugar, potatoes, dhal, detergent, nappies, powdered milk, liquid milk, toilet paper. An additional $150 cash was donated as well.

The children and management of the orphanage were so happy and it was lovely to see that we were able to help so many people.
